looking forward to meet you guys at next episod, bye^^
So glad you’re back!
It might be interesting to hear more details about how Valentine’s Day in Korea differs from in the US and other Western countries. I assume it is a completely borrowed holiday and doesn’t contain any of the original historical or religious elements, like Saint Valentine. What about cupid?
Hi, my name is Kim woo suk. I totally agreed with you guys!
In korea;
(1) There are too many ~~days which contain nothing and just are commercialized.
(2) If you want to go anywhere, you must go with somebody. Korea is kind of “No country for solo”.
Sorry for my broken english.
I’ll study hard to understand everything you guys saying!! Thank you for awesome podcast!!
Nice having you guys back!
thanks for doing this again! ^^
There’s lots of information on the Korean and Japanese versions of Valentine’s Day on the web ~ wikipedia has a pretty extensive entry, so go check it out if you’re hunting for more information^^
hello, what is this?
wow! you guys coming back!
I’ve really waited for you!
Why have you absented for a long time?
I really wanna meet you guys if it’s possible.
^^ have a good day!
I will let my Korean boyfriend listen to this episode. We have been together for more than 3 years. I sometimes doubt if he really is Korean.
Christmas
Me: I want a Wii fit for Christmas?
BF: SHUT UP! Play with my boxing gloves.
New Year
Me: I want a Jack La Lanne juicer for New Year’s.
BF: GET LOST! Get those ginseng tea bags mom sent
Before flying for Hong Kong
Me: Let’s wear the couple sweaters I bought last year in Bangkok!
BF: DREAM ON! I gave mine to charity.
Just last Valentine’s
Me: Why don’t we have dinner at the hotel? I have discounts.
BF: NAH! I want buffalo wings. Let’s head to Hooters.
sounds like my kind of man!
@chuzzle
sound like my ideal man
if you dont want him I’ll gladly take him
welcome to come back again! really long time no see.
I think most korean couples they need to grow up. sometimes they are not only immature but they is very demanding when it comes to doing couple things.
what they usually do is kind of typical loving drama thing.
and i totally agree with jennifer. most women prefer chocolate, i guess. what does the white day mean…?
chocolate is enough sweet. no need candy. kk
anyways, see you guys soon again. take care.
It’s fun to listening you guys.
I totally agree with you. I hate crazy couple things in Korea and that’s whay I haven’t done anything like that in my 4 year long relationship.
but I dont get that not being a couple is hard financially in Korea. I think Outback was a bad example. Outback in Korea is expensive because it’s not a Korean restaurant. Same thing with Korean restaurants are much more expensive in America.
yeah, but most couples don’t go to Korean restaurants on dates ~ they go as friends, they go as classmates, and they go in groups, but you don’t usually see couples on a date at the local 쌈밥 or 닭갈비집.
Hello guys.
I started to learn English again. I am 40 this year. I unexpectedly found your sexy English Epidodes at Itunes.
How come you not uploading those more frequently?
Can I ask kindly…? Keep it up buddies…~
I came to know the foreigners way of life in Korea with your stories. and also pros and cons of something KOREAN. some critical points of things.
I wanna hear from you more often.~
Good show. I’m in couple with a Korean lady. I have a couple hooded sweatshirt with her. We don’t plan when we wear them, but I have to say that I like the shirt.
Btw, I’m glad you guys are back. I’ve been listening to the Seoul podcast in your absence. While the Seoul podcast is great, I do like how you guys are only about 20 to 30 minutes long.
(I liked the idea of a date that is a romantic walk through an industrial district. As a midwesterner I would like to see the ruins of Detroit become a dating hotspot)
Your RSS doesn’t work. Do you know that? If so please fix that please. Thanks.
Hey Jen and Mike! How about an update? Looks like bi-weekly is turning into once a month.
Hello there, Jennifer and Michael. I’m a university student at Canada, and accidentally(& glady) found your podcast few days ago. I’m now big fan of your show, and came to check out little bit more about you guys. Keep up the good work guys!
p.s. I think your podcast is getting more entertaining and smoother by every episodes.
This is a great podcast. Don’t agree with eveything, but its good. I would Like to ask the Podcasters Mike and Jen to read my articles in the Korean Times
