How glad I am!
Thank you so much for your all works for this podcast.
By the way, what does it mean ‘thanks for all the fish’ which you said at last part of the episode 8 ???
Is it just one of the greeting expression in America ?
like slang????
please let me know how I can use it and who I can say it to so that I can use it not being rude or awkward.
Thanks again.
Have a nice day.
whoa~ I really enjoyed this one. It made me laugh when you guys were talking about the way Korean people dress themselves. And i really like your “FeetManSeoul” site too! I want to say a lot of things about this episode.. but this English is so difficult! T_T So I am outta here. Thank you Michael! Thank you Jennifer! (and off line meeting? woo~)
LOL!
“So long, and thanks for all the fish” is from Doug Adam’s novel, “The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy” It’s what the dolphins say right before they leave earth. It’s not really slang or common English . . . it’s a quote, so it would only really work when you talk to other people who know the novel. Many (but not all or even most) Americans and Brits will recognize it if you use it - and if you do use it, you can just use it as a funny way to say “goodbye”
I see….^^
Anyway, “thanks. thanks a lot^^”
Then I have to say “So long and Thanks for the all the
Podcasts^^ and your kind~^^”
Oh .. yes yes i totally agree =D Most korean girls cares too much about how they are looking on the streets or in the class and i ‘m also a common korean girl.. Frankly.. i feel kinda weird sometimes when some guys in uni ask me ” humm.. did u stay up all night for studying ??? =D ” and i realise that.. i’m not wearing makeup *_* and then i just say “Oh ya ~ i worked hard at night -_-;; “
michael, can you please make a podcast about plastic surgery in Korea. That is really interesting. =)
Korean fashion is considered as “weird” in here with all its bright colors, and fluffs and dangles…but nevertheless, it is becoming a common sight, and a fad as well. Koreans tend to carry the “weirdness” in a unique way that Filipinos are now hooked in this fashion craze.
More weirdness: Most of them actually wear high heels when going to the beaches here.
I love feetmanseoul.
We love you, easy!
And a podcast about plastic surgery? Sounds good!
I’ve seen girls wearing high heels while hiking up a mountain, so I’m not surprised. The better to convince their boyfriends to carry them, I suspect.
jennifer
you’ve seen girl wearing high heels while hiking?
lol my friend and me used to go there only wearing high heel before when i was young.
but now i can not anymore, but my friend love that too much, so i asked her are you not painful and uncomfortalble? she told me never, never ,never,.
i remember her’s high heels at least 7inch or so lol
Hmmm…perfect strategy!
Awesome episode once again. I was a little bit late in listening to this one, but I really enjoyed listening to it
And I totally agree that the fashion in Korea is changing very fast - and it’s very hard for me to catch up with it (and that’s why I don’t even try too hard haha)
And I LOVE the idea of having some offline gatherings ! 꼭 갈게요!
